Dimensions description

A container is the smallest rectangular geometric shape that can contain the packages to be delivered.

A container refers to the packaging entity.

A packet refers to the packet entity.

In order to send us the dimensions of what you want to deliver, two possibilities are available for you:

  1. Describe a “container” that can contain your customer’s packets/products.

In this case, you should fill in the fields packets_quantity, length, width, height, weight of the packaging entity.

  2. Describe precisely all the “packets” contained in the delivery, leaving it to us to calculate the most suitable container.

In this second case, you should not fill in the fields packets_quantity, length, width, height, weight of the packaging entity.

For each packet/product, you will need to generate a packet entity with at least the length, width, height, weight fields filled in.

These two solutions are reciprocally exclusive, the first option taking priority over the second.

This means that if the dimensions of a packaging are filled in then the packets will be ignored.

If none of the two solutions is chosen, the request will be rejected and will generate a 400 Bad Request error.

Standard format

In case you don’t have this information, we can identify with you the “average” dimensions of your shopping cart in order to define a standard container.
